Help Those Who Want to Help Themselves  - 3 Hrs / Month

Outreach to busy parents, especially multi-job or single-parents or non- English speakers, is especially important as they may be unable to attend school events, may not have experienced our school system and subject content. Typically, they want to help their children but have limited opportunity to do so;  we show them how to make the most of what they can do and keep them engaged with what we're doing.

We hold voluntary Parent Nights once a month to update parents on key program milestones and to share and transfer our SixSkills methodology. Parent Nights are conducted in language-specific sessions and often not at night! They never include discussion about particular students.

If you could volunteer an hour or two a month to help organize and perform these critical get-togethers you will be helping those that want to help themselves. Foreign language skills are always a plus.
